Some stories begin “Once Upon A Time,”
this one began in 2012…

Our first date was September 27th in Fullerton, California

We were both nervous. We arranged for a casual first date at pizza restaurant Pieology. Christopher dressed for the occasion wearing a tie and vest combination. Andrew did the opposite, wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. Christopher, concerned he overdressed, removed his tie in a not so subtle way; a gesture Andrew thought was adorable. The evening went on longer than we both expected, as we went from Pieology to a speakeasy The Cellar and finally to Linbrook Bowling Alley. Christopher won, two games to one.

In our seven plus years together our relationship has spanned many miles, taking us from Fullerton, to Whittier, to long-distance (Shanghai to LA) to across the state (El Segundo to Hillcrest), to San Diego, and most recently to Lake Tahoe. We have been fortunate to have some amazing adventures together, exploring Maui, Hong Kong, the Exumas, Italy, and—of course—France.

…and Maui makes three!

On October 5th, 2018—one week into Christopher’s MBA program—we brought Maui home, growing our burgeoning family. While he wont be attending the wedding in France, he will be sure that enough of his tricolor fur makes its way into our suitcases for the trip.

While on vacation in Seattle for Andrew’s thirtieth birthday in May 2019, Christopher proposed to Andrew. At the observation deck of the Columbia Center—the tallest building in downtown—with the sun shinning through the clear blue skies onto a gorgeous cityscape, the glistening Puget Sound and the majestic Cascade Mountains, Christopher “finally” popped the question.

…and the rest is history.
